The use of printer-resident fonts in the card improves performance and minimizes network traffic since less data is downloaded to the printer.

Print Chinese using printer-resident fonts. Fonts contained in these cards emulate those provided in Microsoft Windows. The Windows drivers provided on the CD that ships with the printer map the Windows system fonts to these printer-resident fonts.

Contains three scalable fonts: MKai, MingMT, MingMTP for PCL 6 emulation and MKai-Medium, MingMT-Light, MingMTP-Light for PostScript 3 emulation.

For use with PCL 6 and PostScript 3 emulation.

Supports 20 common PostScript encodings

PCL emulation supports Big Five in symbol set 18T which emulates the Traditional Chinese Windows character set.
